Trip to the Range

After almost 10 years, I finally got to go on a trip to "the range". That is where all the air planes go to practice the bomb dropping and gun shooting. It is a 3 hour drive away or 20 min by plane, out to the middle of the Arizona nowhere. While we were there, a four ship of A-10s and a two ship of F-16s came in for practice.

The Target for the big Guns
Don't worry we were gone by the time the planes were rolling in... :)

After dropping a bomb....
Getting ready for another go
After the straif (big gun)...and some of the dust cleared
This dust cloud was from another Jet. Compare the two dust clouds. This one is tiny compared to the A-10 dust cloud...

I think I'll take a nap too....

Bulldog Christmas Party

These are pictures from the squadron Christmas party. It was a fun time, a bit more casual than usual which I thought was nice. Not that I am anti-dressing up, but really, who can eat in a fancy outfit???

Lab Christmas Party Pictures

The lab Christmas party comes with a Secret Santa Exchange. I'm always wearing hats and scarfs (you would think that I lived in Boston instead of Tucson) so I got a hand made set. What do you think....America's Next Top Model????

History of the Ya-Ya (Not all could be present)

I couldn't find my oldest photo of our outrageous gatherings. That one is still in my scrapbook. Remember when Andrea's skirt stopped traffic??

Four years ago in San Antonio.....last year in Vegas.

The money it takes to get there?

The awesome photos we get, priceless (you know the one I mean).

PS....See Zoe, I clean up.....
So yes....I get to show up to work in what often looks like PJs (aka scrubs), or wear a lab coat to cover up my lack of ironing. But give me a reason, and I do dress up for a night on the town. Why have you never seen me dress up? Many of my friends may ask....What would I dress up for in a town where "Tucson Casual" is a something you put on invitations to let people know that jeans and Hawaiian shirts is considered dressy....

Hi

Hello Everyone!! To all family and friends, I am so sorry that I have neglected you all for so long! This is my new attempt to stay in touch. Since I am always on the computer, this is the best way to keep everyone up to date. I will just bug you every once and a while to take a look. Just to check us out and see what we are up to! Really most of the time, our lives are quite ordinary and boring so I will try not to make it too dry. But this coming year will be full of changes and news so stay tuned...
I will also try to get Matt to write. He is much less wordy and much more witty. That should change things up a bit for ya.
And of course there are the pictures....they really say the most. So if you do nothing else....take a look at those!
Thanks to Andrea Fallin for prompting me to start this (she doesn't even know).....

A quick Up-to-Date...

For some, it has been a while......so here is where we are at in our lives. I (Helena) am now a nurse, have been for about 4 years, but now I am in graduate school for my PhD (2nd year) at the University of Arizona College of Nursing. Some would say that I am a perpetual student....not so. I just found my true passion, nursing and then research, later in life after I had already finished one BS in Animal Science at Davis. Matt is just finishing up almost 10 years in the Air Force as an A-10 Pilot. His last flight will be on Feb. 1st and he will be a civilian in March. He is now Major Matt Morrison (As of the first of the year)....which has a ring to it. No job secured yet in the civilian world but stay tuned to the blog for more info on that! Check out our pictures for a look at what we do for fun, and travel.....
